Regional Sales Manager - South East Asia

 

Our client, Melspring International BV, subsidiary of the Olmix Group is a producer and supplier of natural agricultural/ horticulture products and additives based on an innovative technology using the application of the natural substances of Algae and Clays. Founded in 1995, Olmix Group stands for sustainable (“better life”) product applications on a natural basis for various agricultural segments like animal hygiene care, animal nutrition but also in horticulture and plant care. The Olmix Group has received numerous international awards in the course of the development of agricultural export markets, innovative product development  and the creation of a vast international network. Today Olmix focuses on providing additives and nutraceutical products destined to feed producers, veterinarians and farmers for a sustainable agriculture and plant care based on a revolutionary technology using trace elements, algae and clays and  offering strong prospects for environmentally friendly economic developments worldwide. For developing the export markets and its distribution networks in South East Asia we are looking for a:


     Regional Sales Manager  - South East Asia

Besides managing existing distributor markets in plant care, maintaining and strengthening the established relationships with distributors and partners in plant care and horticulture, the regional sales manager Asia is responsible for developing sales. This position can be expat based  in the region of South East Asia preferably in Vietnam (Ho Chi Min) because of the existing sales infrastructure, however alternative locations are subject to discussion. Also based in Holland with a 50% travel frequency is a possibility.
 

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- realizing the commercial objectives, sales planning and overall results  of 
  the regional export business. 
- implement a sales & marketing strategy through distributors and local partners.
- building and maintaining relationships with existing and new sales partners.
- develop new markets and contracting new distribution partners in the region.
- develop a solid base for sales terms, price and margin levels.
- participate in international agricultural trade fairs and exhibitions.
- travel frequency is around  50%.


Position requirements:
- having a degree on either Bachelor or Masters level in business
  and/or marketing, preferably in Agriculture.
- fluent in English and preferably any other major language .
- having worked a minimum of 5 years in international sales & marketing in the agriculture,
   horticulture/field crop farming sector  
- experienced and appreciating local business cultures in Asia.

-  hands-on and pro-active.
-  strong in communication and negotiation.
-  self-starting, but can also act as a team player.
-  feels comfortable in Asia business culture.


Additional information:
- Your office will be located the Netherlands (Velp) or in the South East Asian Region. (expat based).
- You will report directly to the Commercial Director in the Netherlands and also to local Director Asia.
- Remuneration including tailor made expatriate package.
